Minimally invasive (MI) dentistry is centred on preventing disease and repairing rather than carrying out irreparable and irreversible damage to a tooth. Wherever possible Sarah will use minimally invasive procedures ranging from remineralising damaged tooth tissue, selective removal of tooth decay, removal of white spots using the Icon System, repairing broken teeth using adhesive materials or changing the shape and position of teeth using adhesive dental materials.

  • MI dentistry only removes the minimal amount of the natural tooth structure needed to facilitate the corrective dental procedure that is required
  • It relies on selection of the most appropriate materials that conserve the maximum amount of natural tooth structure
  • It uses dental procedures designed to minimise the number of patient appointments.
